You can join at the beginning of any sessions. If there are spaces you can also drop-in to the Saturday 9.30am session. Cost: $100 + HST for 4-sessions ($25/class). Single drop-in classes are also available for $28/session. Call us at 416-839-6621 with any questions register here.
Prenatal yoga can assist with a number of the common discomforts experienced in pregnancy such as edema (swelling of the hands and feet), cramping of the legs and calf muscles, shortness of breath as well as sciatic nerve, round ligament and lower back pain. General feelings of tiredness and stiffness can also be greatly relieved by a prenatal practice. In fact, that is one of the primary reasons I have seen moms practice right up until their due dates; inactivity can worsen these symptoms, especially towards the later stages of pregnancy when one tends to feel the most awkward.

Prenatal yoga also prepares the body and mind for delivery. The poses build strength and endurance, open the hips and build the pelvic floor muscles. We also explore poses which help in an active, natural childbirth. The classes also connect expectant moms to one another, sharing resources, tips and experiences of what they are going through throughout their pregnancies. Prenatal yoga classes are recommended for women in their second or third trimester of pregnancy. No prior yoga experience is necessary.


I’ve been coming to the pre-natal yoga classes since the beginning of my 2nd trimester and have enjoyed all the benefits of yoga and meditation during my pregnancy. The instructors are very mindful of differing levels of activity and comfort and offer a lot of useful tips for labour and delivery.
